the best advise that i can give regarding losing weight is just to be very attentive to the relationship that you have with food -
I grew up in an Italian family - where it is encouraged and even enforced to fill your plate until your cavatellis are falling off the edges and you dont even have enough room on there for the bread - to eat every last bite, un buttton your pants and lay around and digest until it is time to stuff it again for desert . As a heavy girl my entire life ... Food has always been both my depressant as well aas my anti depressant. Kids at school "mooed" at me - Id cry - then go eat a tub of ben an jerry's .
When i was 18 years old I witnessed my mother enduring a severe depression upon the death of her father . She dropped nearly 40 lbs within a month. I never saw her eat - because she never did...
Take account of all of those people who get depressed and lose their appetite! I envied them girl !!! But envy does nothing for me - so I decided to be emulate them.
I changed my mindset.
I convinced myself that food is not my friend - not my therapist- not my escape- but rather a vitamin- and like all vitamins -food is great when you are consume the correct amount , but can cause severe problems when taken in excess..
I stopped living to eat , and started living to eat .
Now this all sounds far too easy - TRUST ME i am NOT minimizing the transformation !! THIS IS NOT GOING TO BE EASY !!!
You cannot change your habits until you change alter your conscience.
You must be aware of every single calorie you intake - If you want it to happen quickly - ( i needed it to - as i have no patients and had been on and off diets all my life ) then you HAVE to make it your LIFE !! Devote yourself - your energy and your heart to being what/who you want to be ! I was the queen of excuses !!"Oh i can eat that oreo - I am going to the gym tonight" That ice cream wont hurt me - its only a little bit" "I have been good all week"
IF YOU WANT IT - YOU WILL NOT ALLOW YOUR CONSCIENCE TO LISTEN TO THE EXCUSES THAT YOUR SUB CONSCIENCE IS MAKING !!

GET YOURSELF ADDICTED TO THE GYM - GET OUT THERE AND PUSH YOURSELF PAAST BREAKING POINT - STAY ON THAT TREDMILL FOR LOGER THEN YOU CAN TAKE IT - PAST THAT TERRIBLE CRAMP IN YOUR SIDE - PAST THE POINT WHERE YOUR THROAT THAT HURTS BECAUSE your breathing too hard !!!
